Daniel Carvalho, 58, of Fall River, Mass., passed away on February 4, 2026.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Patricia A. (McWilliams) Carvalho. He is survived by his siblings: Joseph Carvalho III of Providence, and Karen Carvalho of Barrington; sister-in-law Jennifer Carvalho of Bristol; and nieces and nephews: Kelly A. Carvalho, Nicholas J. Carvalho, Thomas Saucier, Matthew (Nicole Valenzuela) Carvalho and their daughter Ava Valenzuela, Michaela Carvalho, and Joshua Carvalho.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Carvalho.
Daniel was a 1985 class graduate of Bristol High School. He was a member of the Local 37 Ironworkers Union for over twenty years. Dan was deeply devoted to his family and those he considered family. He was a selfless man that could always be relied upon to help with anything. One of the hardest working men, he would still lend his hand for his family; from helping with repairs to the house or building countless pools, trampolines, and swing sets for his nieces and nephews.
He loved sports his entire life, from being an athlete in his childhood and later on playing softball with his many friends; to coaching his nephew’s little league teams and becoming known to a generation of kids as “Coach Danny”. This man has touched so many lives, and his memories and teachings will never be forgotten. Dan was deeply spiritual, grounded, and known to all who knew him as truly just salt of the Earth. Aside from his devotion to his family and friends, he had endless compassion and love for animals, and nothing could compare to the bond he shared with his cat, King. Dan was a great man, and he will be forever missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, March 10, 4 - 8 PM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street. Burial will be private.
